FreePlayerPrivacy Policy
Effective date: October 9, 2026
This policy explains how the FreePlayer app for LG webOS TVs ("FreePlayer", "the app") handles information. In short: the developer of FreePlayer does not collect, receive or share any of your personal data. Everything you enter stays on your TV.
Information you enter
To use the app you provide the details of an IPTV service you have access to. The app stores the following only on your TV, in the app's local storage:

This information is never sent to the developer or to any third party other than the service you configured (see below). The developer has no access to it.
Network connections
The app connects only to the addresses that come from you or your playlist:
- The playlist, Xtream Codes server and EPG addresses you enter
- The video stream and channel logo addresses listed in your playlist
These services are operated by your IPTV provider or other third parties, not by the developer. When the app connects to them, they may receive technical information such as your IP address and the requests made, and your Xtream Codes username and password are sent to the server you entered in order to sign in. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.
What the app does not do
- No accounts with the developer, no sign-up
- No analytics, tracking, advertising or advertising identifiers
- No collection of viewing history by the developer
- No sale or sharing of personal data
Deleting your data
You can change or replace your connection details at any time from the app's Settings (red button). Uninstalling FreePlayer from your TV deletes all information the app has stored.
Children
FreePlayer is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
LG services
Your TV and the LG Content Store are operated by LG Electronics, whose own privacy policy applies to them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
